Who We Are

Our Story

We are a dynamic duo with complementary expertise. Alex and Krista met while working as co-HR Business Partners for a corporate office of 500 team members that supported an organization of 16,000. We learned that while we were effective on our own, together we were unstoppable, a true driving force for development and change. We each bring an essential piece of HR to Viable People Solutions.

Alex has a Master’s in Sport Psychology and spent years working with a variety of groups: the armed forces in resilience and leadership, athletes in managing their minds to reach peak performance, and publicly traded companies in developing programs and trainings to further corporate goals. Krista, SHRM-SCP, not only spent years in operations management she also has extensive experience in all levels of Humans Resources from a Labor Relations Specialist to Chief People Officer. This has given her an understanding and connection to the concerns of all levels of the workforce.

I have always been impressed by the story of the trim tab. Trim tabs are a small piece connected to the trailing edge of a much larger controlling surface on a ship or aircraft. This tiny part, has the power to stabilize and manage the control of the vehicle. This metaphor reminds me that each individual has the ability and responsibility to positively affect change in their organization and work community. My goal is to help make this change and inspire others to do the same.

During a college softball practice, I purposefully slid into second base knowing I did not have the correct gear on to protect myself. When I stood up and looked at the blood running down my leg, I thought to myself, “Why would I do that? This is not normal”. That thought propelled my education and career into determining how individuals and groups develop mindsets and behaviors around achieving their goals. This journey to understand and teach others how to reach peak performance has taken me from Army ruck marches and missile training simulations to poker rooms around the world. From tennis courts and soccer fields to corporate offices and frontline breakrooms. My goal is to provide tailored initiatives to allow businesses and individuals actualize their potential.
